The European project SEA2SEE, in which SUBMON participates as a partner, launches its second edition of the MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) “Navigating the Sea to Plate Journey for Responsible Seafood Consumption”, a free course dedicated to promoting knowledge and awareness on responsible seafood consumption.
This new edition features improvements and additional resources, with the aim of continuing to promote informed and sustainable consumption decisions, contributing to a greater ocean culture in society.
This course is part of the Consumer Engagement Strategy of the SEA2SEE project, which aims to increase understanding of seafood among consumers and key actors in the food chain, providing practical tools to adopt more sustainable purchasing habits.
Throughout five interactive modules, this MOOC offers a clear and didactic introduction to topics such as:
- Ocean culture and seafood knowledge.
- Fishing industry.
- Aquaculture.
- Traceability and the seafood value chain.
- Responsible consumption and citizen participation.
In this second edition of the MOOC, the learning experience has been improved by incorporating new elements such as infographics and summaries available in all languages of the consortium, more videos and images that facilitate the understanding of the contents, and a new resource: the Seastainable Kitchen cookbook, which offers inspiring ideas for enjoying seafood in a tastier and more sustainable way.

¿A quién va dirigido?
Se trata de un recurso abierto y accesible para todas aquellas personas preocupadas por la salud de nuestros mares y océanos y por su papel como consumidores informados. Especialmente va dirigido a quienes trabajan o comunican en torno a la alimentación marina: profesionales de la educación y la restauración, pescaderías, supermercados, blogueras/os gastronómicos, entre otros perfiles.
¿Por qué apuntarse?
Esta formación es completamente gratuita y puede completarse con total flexibilidad, sin fechas límite. El curso ofrece un certificado de finalización, materiales descargables en alta resolución y un entorno interactivo para compartir conocimientos e ideas con otras personas participantes y expertas. Además, se realizarán sorteos con premios entre quienes finalicen el curso.
