For several years now, Shark Trust has published fact sheets with useful information for fishermen. These sheets provide quick access to the conservation and protection status of the different species, as well as precise information on the legislation that affects these species of sharks and rays.

Thus, through the collaboration of SUBMON with Shark Trust, for several years we have been offering these sheets translated into Spanish that can be downloaded in PDF without any cost and that, without a doubt, can mean a step forward in the conservation of these species as well as a step forward in the awareness and training of the fishing sector.

Commercial Fisheries Advisories sheet of the Cetorhinus maximus in Spanish.

In this 2020, a total of 30 sheets have been produced designed to help both fishermen and fisheries inspectors to know the protection and conservation status of different species in both the Mediterranean and the Atlantic.

In addition to information sheets on the different species, they also include sheets on the proper management of these species to be able to release them, necessary information to be noted in the on-board books for an adequate record of accidental catches.

The sheets are updated each year depending on whether the regulations or the catch limits of some species change.

The download of the sheets in Spanish can be done here: https://www.sharktrust.org/spanish
