Her professional experience
has always focused around the medicine and conservation of non-domestic animals, working several years in exotic animal clinics, zoos and wildlife rescue centers in the UK.







Since 2008
Mariluz is partner of SUBMON, working in the management of national and international projects, external consultancies and marine animal health. Since 2003 she has specialized in the handling and medicine of marine animals, more specifically sea turtles in relation to their incidental capture by fisheries.
She is member
of IUCN’s SSC Wildlife Health Specialist Group and veterinary consultant of the sea turtle longline by-catch reduction program of the Eastern Pacific.
